As we sift through life, we experience new and old feelings. Most of the old emotions come up when we encounter something or someone from the past. It can remind you of your past and mess up your current feelings too. The new might be a modified aspect of the old, but when it is the parallel opposite of your old, problems arise. You feel stuck in between and you have no common point or ground to go back to. Your mind and body is conflicted, you don’t know where to turn to. Should I go right or left? Should I go ‘in with the new and out with the old’ or should I…These questions tumble through the recesses of your brain leaving you mentally and at times, physically incapacitated.
Don’t worry- the first thing that you need to remember at this stage. Worrying only makes the it worse and you might end up making all the wrong decisions. The saying ‘in with the new and out with the old’ has never been more right. The new feeling and emotions are what makes you ‘you’ right now. So stick with it. Everyone changes through the years and your feelings change along with it. You might have had a different opinion back then, but it is gone now. You need to live your life at present, not at the past. There are times when you would like reconsidering a single thing. Then go with it. Think about it through and if you feel like you need to bring up your old perspective, no one is stopping you. But when at some point, you doubt the whole of your reality, that is when you need to stop buddy. What made you ‘you’ today is because of the present. If you wholly immerse into the past again, it might lead to places you would not have wanted to go. So think about now, then think about then. That is the only way you can deal with the crisis of the in-between.
